To Your Success,

How To Build A Bigger Team

by Michael S. Clouse

Yes, by now you’ve probably been told (more than a few times I would imagine) that Network Marketing is about three things: prospectingpresentation, and duplication. And yet, if you’re like most business-builders, far too many of those you’ve already introduced to the business seem to be doing, well, nothing at all…

Sadly the most often-heard solution to this seemingly unsolvable situation is, “Go talk to more people….” So without knowing any better you follow that advice—you find a few more prospects, present the business a few more times, and try to help those new ones get started—only to see them eventually drop out too.

What’s going on here? Is the old “Bring ‘em in the front door faster than they’re leaving out the back door” antiquated approach any way to build a solid business? Well, the simple answer is, “No!” And yet to this day that same old mantra, “Go talk to more people….” is still being shared by many as the only solution to the dropout dilemma they’re experiencing throughout the organization!

Unfortunately, for most first-time business-builders, their eventuality is as predictable as it was preventable. The prediction, of course, is that far too many who’ve been sponsored will eventually quit the business—usually justifying their untimely demise because someone told them, “Network Marketing is a bad idea;” or they felt that “It took too much time and cost too much money;” or my personal favorite, “No one really helped me.” And splat! You’ve lost another one… Road kill on the highway of success!

But what if there were a better way to grow your Empire than the ridiculous, one step forward, two steps backward, “Go talk to more people….” approach? Well, actually, there is…

No, I am not suggesting the “You just need to sponsor five prospects and teach them how to sponsor five more…” ill-advised plan either. Because if you truly want to succeed in Network Marketing, and achieve the top pay level in your company, an on-going sponsoring plan will need to become—like eating, or bathing, or dressing each day—simply part of the process of life.

What I am saying (and have been for years) is prospects that are progressively educated about Network Marketing build bigger businesses, and in turn become better leaders, than those who are not. And yet to this day most well-intended business-builders still don’t have a progressive plan in place for the initial (not to mention the on-going) instruction necessary for the survival of those they have personally introduced to their company.

The truth is, above-average success in Network Marketing requires, among other things: 1) belief in the industry, 2) belief in the business-building system itself, and 3) belief in the fact that you can do this… Now if that’s true—and it is—why do we seem surprised when those who haven’t been progressively educated quit the business? On the contrary; if we’re not systematically instilling this information into our new business-builders, we should actually expect them to quit as soon as they encounter any resistance at all—and we are rarely disappointed!

Therefore, if you’re ready to build a bigger team—and actually keep more of the people you sponsor—try this three-step, belief-building system: First, provide every prospect with something to educate them about the Network Marketing industry. Second, after they have sponsored in, immediately offer every business-builder something to teach them the basics of the business. Third, after your new business-builder has been involved for 30 days or so, give them something to keep them moving in the direction of their dreams…

Because when you use a step-by-step system that progressively builds belief in every person you sponsor, you will then realize, firsthand, the awesome duplicatable power of a thriving, well-educated, organization.

Now that’s how you build a bigger team!

All the best,

MSC

P.S. If you’re looking for a proven systematic approach to educate ‘em sooner and keep ‘em involved longer… First, provide every prospect with Future Choice to educate them about the Network Marketing industry. Second, after they have sponsored in, immediately offer every business-builder The Fifth Principle together with Recipe For Success to teach them the basics of the business. Third, after your new business-builder has been involved for 30 days or so, get them a copy of Learning The Business One Story At A Time to keep them focused on their future.

P.P.S. If you’d like to keep more of those you sponsor, then use this system. Here’s why >>>

Look behind you….don’t see anyone? If that’s the case my friend then you”re probably not the leadership of your mlm organization. You are either following everyone or just going for a walk alone. I know, you’re doing all the stuff the book told you; but the solution may be hidden in these rarely discussed leadership characteristics.

There are five essential elements that are key characteristics to successful leadership in a network marketing business. We all here regularly hear about attitude, discipline, skill, determination and the like. But the ones rarely mentioned are alignment, alpha leadership, being present, preparation and professionalism. So lets just get to it cuz you’ve got places to go, things to do, people to lead..right?

The easiest place to begin is always the beginning so lets start with the “A”s. Alignment…What? When you hear this word you’re usually in a conversation about wheels not leadership. But alignment is essential to achieving your goals. “What do you need to align”? That is the question.

I found music to be a good analogy. Liken it to a musical score; there are different notes and instruments all carefully orchestrated to perform a beautiful melody. Any note struck out of harmony with the melody we would consider to be a “sour” note. Not because of the note itself, but because it is out of “alignment” with the melody.

Your vision is the melody you want to play. Your plan of action and goals are the score. Mind and body would be the instruments and your own beliefs, thought s and emotions are the notes being played. Alignment would be the harmonious blend of your vision, written goals, action plan, belief, thoughts and emotions carefully orchestrated to perform the melody you intend.

The second characteristic…”Alpha” … (the first letter of the Greek alphabet) has to do with posture. An alpha persona…is simply the air of confidence one exude when they are extremely secure in their ability and identity. Just like animals can sense fear, people can since your doubt. No one will follow a leader who is not supremely confident in his/her ability to lead. As you develop your alpha personality you will be followed from b to z. Get it b to z??……O-kkk

Being present is the trait that allows you to leave the past in the past and the future in the future. It is that level of concentration that blocks out all distraction to focus completely on the task at hand, in the moment it is at hand. All effective leaders know that the future… is written in the present.

Are you mentally and emotionally “Prepared”? Why is this important?? Because in all honesty the vast majority of people you meet will not have the characteristics you want in a business partner. This is the importance of “preparation”. It is the mental and emotional toughness to meet and overcome all obstacles and a must trait if you expect to succeed not only in this business…but in any business.

Lastly, by most peoples definition “professional” is any one who gets paid for their talent, service and expertise. Yet we all know people who are getting paid and are considered very un-professional. You might be able to get away with that if it doesn’t require the trust and confidence of other people. But leadership implies that there will be someone behind you with some level of expectation particularly when you’re involved in an mlm or network marketing business. That level of expectation has to do with the way you present your self, handle your business and your people. Unless your presentation is aligned with professionalism, don’t expect people to follow you far.

this journey you’re undertaking will undoubtly have its tribulation. Accept the fact that you will naturally feel some hesitation and anxiety when facing your challenges. But learning to overcome those anxieties is the purpose of vision.

How Great Entrepreneurs Think

Here is a great article I just read over at Inc.com. I think we should all read it. It’s very interesting

(Inc.) — What distinguishes great entrepreneurs? Discussions of entrepreneurial psychology typically focus on creativity, tolerance for risk, and the desire for achievement—enviable traits that, unfortunately, are not very teachable. So Saras Sarasvathy, a professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, set out to determine how expert entrepreneurs think, with the goal of transferring that knowledge to aspiring founders. While still a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon, Sarasvathy—with the guidance of her thesis supervisor, the Nobel laureate Herbert Simon—embarked on an audacious project: to eavesdrop on the thinking of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs as they grappled with business problems. She required that her subjects have at least 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, have started multiple companies—both successes and failures—and have taken at least one company public.

Sarasvathy identified 245 U.S. entrepreneurs who met her criteria, and 45 of them agreed to participate. (Responses from 27 appeared in her conclusions; the rest were reserved for subsequent studies. Thirty more helped shape the questionnaire.) Revenue at the subjects’ companies—all run by the founders at that time—ranged from $200 million to $6.5 billion, in industries as diverse as toys and railroads. Sarasvathy met personally with all of her subjects, including such luminaries as Dennis Bakke, founder of energy giant AES; Earl Bakken of Medtronic; and T.J. Rodgers of Cypress Semiconductor. She presented each with a case study about a hypothetical start-up and 10 decisions that the founder of such a company would have to make in building the venture. Then she switched on a tape recorder and let the entrepreneur talk through the problems for two hours. Sarasvathy later collaborated with Stuart Read, of the IMD business school in Switzerland, to conduct the same experiment with professional managers at large corporations—the likes of NestléPhilip Morris, and Shell. Sarasvathy and her colleagues are now extending their research to novice entrepreneurs and both novice and experienced professional investors.

Sarasvathy concluded that master entrepreneurs rely on what she calls effectual reasoning. Brilliant improvisers, the entrepreneurs don’t start out with concrete goals. Instead, they constantly assess how to use their personal strengths and whatever resources they have at hand to develop goals on the fly, while creatively reacting to contingencies. By contrast, corporate executives—those in the study group were also enormously successful in their chosen field—use causal reasoning. They set a goal and diligently seek the best ways to achieve it. Early indications suggest the rookie company founders are spread all across the effectual-to-causal scale. But those who grew up around family businesses will more likely swing effectual, while those with M.B.A.’s display a causal bent. Not surprisingly, angels and seasoned VCs think much more like expert entrepreneurs than do novice investors.

I just stumble across this great article over at businessknowledgesource.com and I thought it would be great to share it with you.

Check it below and please share your thoughts.

There are several marketing strategies to use but one that is starting to claim more popularity right now is a method known as attraction marketing. What is attraction marketing and how will it help you to develop a stronger company? This article will help to explain attraction marketing and how it can help you drive in new customers for your business.

When you purchase a product or service, what is it about that product or service that drives you to it? Why are you attracted to it and why do you want to buy it? Having the motivation to actually buy the product is what you need to understand about the shopping patterns of your customers in order to convince them to buy your products. The law of attraction is used for a number of things but in marketing terms it is the connection a customer feels when they hold a certain level of value to your products and services.

To develop attraction to a product, your company must be able to focus on creating value for the product and to make the customer want the product. Market to create awareness, this is a great way to get your customers interested in your products. You don’t even need to go out and engage in expensive marketing promotions to generate this type of awareness for your products as you can easily acquire awareness through branding and getting involved in discussion boards and other things. The more you can talk and interact with your customers, the easier it will be for you to build that relationship you need to drive a successful marketing campaign.

If you have built an amazing product that you think is going to make a huge splash and will be a big hit in the industry, you want to use buzz marketing and social media sites to spread the word to your industry especially to your customers.
